Directors Purpose blue rubric task 4

The directors purpose in the first scene was to show the audience Jess’s dreams / wishes by creating a fantasy scene. She was put in this scene to show her love for football and how professional she wants to be. The director places Jess in the actual game which she is watching, but then the director places Jess’s mum in the fantasy after Jess got a goal, immediately showing the audience that she does not approve of Jess’s dream of becoming a professional football player. After her fantasy it goes back to reality of Jess watching the game with all of her David Beckham posters behind her and her mother still against Jess wanting to gave a career in football. Another purpose that the director was implying was to show the audience the amount of power Jess’s parents have over Jess.
